The morning he left, he insisted on last minute relations, and 9 mo. to the day, Clement was born. Counting back from Jan. 20, 1866, would be April 20, 1865, and that checks out, as the war ended (April 26, 1865) before Grandfather got into it to see any action. Since he named his son the C.L.V. apparently he had strong sympathies toward the South." This Edward was a Blacksmith. His nickname was Nebb.
