He married Maryann Bellia (1916-1969) on July 25, 1942 in Wheeling, WV. I believe my mother was his 3rd wife. He had a daughter from the marriage before my mom. Her name is Donna Jean Grandon.

He married Maria Louisa Blod on 13 Jan 1883. Andrew immigrated in 1879 to New Sweden, Iowa (was shoemaker). He was counted in a census in 1885 in Orient Twp. (Section 18), Adair County, Iowa. He was employed as in 1879 in , Iowa in the early 1870's. He made shoes then and nearby .
When Russell Selim was a boy he visited the A. P. Selim family and he noticed on the back porch on a cupboard or stand was a container of sour milk. The next morning they enjoyed delicious pancakes which he assumed were made with this sour milk.
Census in 1880, no record of a. P. Selim for New Sweden, Iowa, but is mentioned as place to which he did immigrated in 1879 and worked as a shoemaker. The 1885 Iowa Census for Orient Twp. Adair County, Iowa (Section 18) shows: Andrew P. Salem (sic.) (Age 30) and Maria L. Salem (28) with one son, Edie E (Age 1).
The 1895 Census for Orient Twp., Adair Co., Iowa shows: Andres Selim (41), Mary L. Selim (38), and children: Eddie A. (11), Arnold (9), Elmer (7), Mabel (5), and Arthur (2), all born in Adair County. Also resident with the family are Charlie Selim (24), and David Selim (20).
The 1900 census shows: Andrew P. Selim (B. June 1853), to U.W. 1879, his wife, Maria (B. Sept. 1856), to U.S. 1882, Elmer (Aug. 1887), Mabel (Aug. 1889), Arthur (Jan. 1892), and Mayme (Jun. 1896).
No reference to the A. P. Selim family in the 1910 census for Orient Township. The family may have moved to the Moundville, Missouri area during the period of 1900-1910.
The family lived on a farm one mile east of Orient, one mile south and in the second mile East on the south side of the road, where Horace and Velma Vleet and son John now live, and west of where Uncle Martin and Aunt Lillie Selim used to live.
A P Selim came to Fairfield, Iowa in the early 1870's. He made shoes then and nearby Kassuth until machines came in. Then he moved to Adair County, Iowa to the Buckmiller farm one mile east of Orient.
The family moved to a farm near Mo were he sent to Sweden for his bride Maria Lousia Blod. It was 80 acres NW of Moundville, and Johnson lived with AP Selim. When he sold this farm it was for $60/acre of 80 acres to move to the Buckmiller farm.
When the family moved to Moundville, MO, A P Paid $35./ac to Charles Garv for the farm. The country school nearby was called "Ray Town", Mamie taught in this school in 1936--and the oldest boy went to this school.
Maria Louisa Blod was born on 20 Sep 1856 in Motala, Sweden. She died in 1927 in Welborn Cemetery, NW of Moundville, MO. She married Andrew Peter (A.P.) Selim on 13 Jan 1883. Maria immigrated in 1882 to Sweden.
As a child a tree fell in front of her and she had a broken leg, which was shorter than the other leg--but she could walk easily.
