(abt 1783 when he was 6.) His mother may have died in Ireland or shortly after they came . He took part in War of 1812. Lived in Morgan Twp., Franklin Twp. In 1816 moved to Center Twp. where he took up lands awarded for his military service. See Horn Papers Atlas. Moved to Richhill Twp. Detailed will names all his children and heirs.

I John McGlumphy considering the unmemory do quake and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first I direct that all my just debts as shall be by me at my death together with my funeral expenses and all charges touching the proving of or otherwise concerning this my last will shall in the first place not of my efforts or moneys due be fully paid and satisfied and from and after payment there of and subject thereunto then my will is that all the residue of my effects and money's due or on hand shall be divided in the following manner. To Urf.
first I direct that my sons Hugh McGlumphy and John McGlumphy shall receive out of my Estate one dollar each, then I direct that the residue of my estate be equally divided between the surviving heir's my daughters, Nancy Wright, Sarah Ross, Mary Williams, Lavina Hoge, Susanna Lewis, Kisiah Poland, Eliza Lions and youngest son Isaac McGlumphy.
I also direct that the surviving heirs of my daughter Elizabeth Babbit decd. shall receive her equal portion with the rest of the surviving heirs to be put out on intrust until the youngest heirs arrives at the age of twenty one years then there portion to be equally divided among them, share and share a like and I do further say and direct that Mary William, Keziah Poland and Eliza Lion have each received a post of there equal portion which is to be deducted out of their portions as follows. To wit first out of Kiziah Poland 32 dollars and out of Mary Williams 19 dollars, and out of Eliza Lions 100 dollars bearing intrust from date of obligation given, and I do hereby make appoint Asa Ross sole Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me a made and lastly my express will and meaning is and I do for moved arise or happen concerting any gift or request in this this my last will given and bequeathed express or contained that then no suit or suits in law or equity or otherwise shall be brought concerning or prosecuted, for and concerning the same but my person or persons concerned in this my will becoming dissatisfied shall absolutely
